Back With A Vengeance

Guess what? I just got back from my little Christmas Holiday at my hometown Sabah...

Damn, what should I write today? Alright...here are some quotes that might give a kick in your arse....

"I'm an artist, give me a f***in' tuba and I'll make something out of it." - John Lennon

"Every group is racist. White folks will see a group of Indian people and they're like,'Look at all those brown people, they're probably all very happy together.' Then you get together in that group and like, (In an Indian accent) 'Hey, you from India? I'm from India. What part? NO, not that part. Go to hell you dirty b@$t@rd." - Russell Peters from his show Outsourced

"How many people here have telekinetic powers? Raise my hand." - some dick named 'Emo' Philips

"Ahh, DDR....Soo..good..." - some Chinese dude after a guy mentioned about DDR(Dance Dance Revolution)

"Being famous is my job. When I leave the house I'm clocking in." - Noel Gallagher

Well, guess who said this:

"Girls sometimes are a bunch of cunts...they keep ranting some shite like 'Girls can play Football!' or something like that. But the only thing is that they are not playing it!"

C'mon, Just guess...

Alright...

It's me! I said that shit....hehe

BTW, it is confirmed that the PMR results will be at the 30th...Let's just hope for the best...

Cheers,

Handbags and Gladrags

Alright, I know the title has nothing to do with this post. God forbid, I'm pretentious...

Okay, let's get to the main point...

So I decided to write this blog post before I go on a 7-day sabbatical(or a hiatus)...

Meaning? I'm going back to my hometown in Sabah for Christmas...

C'mon, what else would I do during the holidays? I've attended religious camps, watched a string of blockbusters, played futsal, surfed the net, et cetera, et cetera.....What else would I do? Smoke marijuana just like in those Harold and Kumar films?

The worse that could happen if I smoked pot is this:

(That's Pierce Brosnan BTW..)

Or maybe this:

(Oh, this is gonna be good..but it wasn't..)

But before I begin my hiatus, I decided to have a satisfying haircut....

From EMO

To well, NO MORE

N
ot really much of a difference, innit?

I guess that's all I could write(unfortunately), But before signing off, I would like to wish a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you (you know who you are)......

Cheers,

Prospekt's March

I love music, especially (as mentioned in my previous blog post). Now, I'm doing an EP(mini-album) review on Prospekt's March by Coldplay.(nice title, innit?)

Here's the album cover:

OK, here's the lowdown..

Prospekt's March is actually a mini-album which contains tracks recorded during the Viva La Vida sessions but never made the final cut. Besides unreleased tracks, Prospekt's March contains remixed tracks that some of the fans are familiar of. Let's check out as I review the EP one song at a time.

#1 : Life in Technicolor II
If you listen to Viva La Vida, the song Life in Technicolor is just a 2-minute instrumental intro. This one is the extended version, meaning this is a full song(with lyrics). This is one of my favourite tracks in the EP and it has solid lyrics but still sticks to their bipolar theme...

#2: Postcards From Far Away
Okay, this is not technically a song. This is just a transition to the next song. This features Chris Martin playing a relaxing piano song for about 43 seconds...nuff' said here...

#3: Glass of Water
Man, this could have been in the VLV album, shite. This is also one of my favourite songs and to me, it doesn't put me to sleep(unlike the hidden tracks in VLV which are quite gloomy)
It's somehow energetic at the beginning and ends with the archetypical piano outro by Chris Martin himself. Good song.

#4: Rainy Day
I was impressed by this 80's-inspired track. It begins with a relaxing, catchy intro and gets interesting until the end. I like this track but this is more of a B-side worthy track.

#5: Prospekt's March/Poppyfields
This song is quite mellow according to my perspective. This is more like a slow-paced melancholic war anthem unlike the previous tracks(as mentioned). Then, appears another hidden track. At least this is just a short outro of the song. But still a good song.

#6: Lost+
Well, this is one of the tracks that was from VLV but the band decided to re-release it after they collaborated with a shite rapper who is sheer bollocks: Jay-Z. Yes, they allowed a bloody cunt to rub into one of my favourite Coldplay songs with his rap verse which has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SONG by mentioning some big names like Caesar, Brutus, Judas, Jesus Christ, Biggie and it still sounds like shite..I love Lost+(aka Lost!) but Jay-Z came along and....uhh....fine..Fuck You Jay-Z

#7: Lovers In Japan(Osaka Sun Remix)
This is one of the few remixes in the EP. The only difference between the original version and this one is that in the remix, the same chord is repeated throughout the song. So, no drastic alterations were made and of course, no Jay-Z.

#8: Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground
OK, the only reason I like this is because this has that tinge of Bob Dylan in it. This only features Chris Martin singing while playing the acoustic guitar. Not a bad song I must say, a good way to end the EP.

Overall, if you like Viva La Vida, you would probably like this one...
Nuff' said..

Orientation

WELCOME....

Well, this is somehow my first time blogging. Even though I don't have anything to talk about, I like to introduce myself first...

My name is Tim Jilimin. Age? I'm 15 years old. If you got a problem with that, piss off...Just joking. I'm born on 22 November 1993 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia. Yes, I'm from Sabah, I'm Kadazan, and I'm pissed if someone mistakens me for a Chinese or a Sarawakean..(I get that all the time...)

Now, I am currently living in Johor Bahru for almost 7-8 years (No kidding!) and I am studying at SMK Dato' Usman Awang( Formerly known as Seri Perling 2, Just don't give a damn about my school, seriously.)and I'm expecting for my PMR results after Chrimbo...I mean Christmas.

My taste in music? I am a Rock N' Roll lover! Mostly British Rock(bands like Oasis, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, The Verve, The Script) modern US bands( like Simple Plan, OneRepublic, Linkin Park, Daughtry), some classics (The Beatles) and many more... I 100% hate bloody EMO bands like Evanescence, 30 Seconds To Mars, Paramore and some shite bands like those I mentioned....

What about movies? I like watching movies..especially blockbusters..and Twilight is strictly not one of them.(Truthfully, it sucked)

So, I'm done with my little intro, be on the lookout as I publish more blog articles for the days to come...If you wanna comment on this article, feel free. Any negative comment will suffer the consequences from this dude:

Hahaha..Joking again...

But I mean it on the negative comments, really.

Remember, I'm watching you..

Yes, that's me watching you..(look closely)

Cheers,
-Tim-
